Fall is a time of year that many people enjoy.  Hayrack rides, haunted houses, carving pumpkins, caramel apples, or bonfires is just a short list of activities that occur during the fall season.

One factor that one will never know is the weather.  So far this fall season, we have seen cold and misty nights, warm and sunny days, wind gusts reaching 40 miles per hour and cloudy days that makes you want to lay in bed all day.

Sophomore Emily Nelson says she loves the fall weather.  “Every morning I get up, I have to check my phone to see what type of clothing I am going to wear,” Nelson said.  “Fall is awesome because there are so many outfit combinations I can arrange.  It can also be a pain because I have to change two to three times a day.”

Fall is also a beautiful time around campus.  When the leaves begin to change colors, it really brings out the beauty in the campus. But when the leaves begin to fall, be ready to hear the sounds of leaf blowers constantly going.  Maintenance workers work endless hours blowing off sidewalks so us students have a clear path to walk on.  So when you see a maintenance worker blowing leaves for hours, give them a big thank you because they deserve it.

Fall also goes a little overboard with pumpkin spiced everything.  Sometimes people go a little overboard with it, but tis’ the season, right?  Click here for a list of different pumpkin spiced flavored products.

Freshman Anna Konczak said, “My favorite is the pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks.  It gives you a taste of fall and I just love it.”

Enjoy it.  It will not be long until we are complaining about below freezing temperatures.  Go out with friends to a haunted house or hayrack ride.  Build a bonfire, carve pumpkins, or do something where you can enjoy this last bit of good weather before the winter hits.
