What’s challenging/interesting/rewarding about my current job?
No two days are the same. There is always a new challenge. I get to use my interpersonal and creative skills to create solutions to help people with their problems.

What surprised me about my career?
How the field of communication led me to the field of mental health and has been so helpful in my counseling role. I often use my journalism skills to gather information to better understand people’s problems.

Here’s my number one piece of advice for Communication undergrads:
Keep in touch with and grow relationships your professors. They will be invaluable resources to you. They will also continue to be wonderful mentors and friends in the future.
Also, keep all of your options open. You never know where the would of communication will lead you.
