Fine Arts

Quincy University’s Division of Fine Arts and Communication guides students of music, art, graphic design, theatre, and communication to grow and develop their talents, both as creative individuals and as team members. Our programs emphasize hands-on experiences:

  • Communication students hone their skills in our multimedia labs and television studio, and student newspaper.
  • Music students practice in our performance facilities and recording studio and participate in Concert Choir, Symphonic Band, and more.
  • Our Art/Graphic Design students use the Coleman-Hughes Graphic Design complex, complete with everything they need, from a darkroom to ceramics studio.
  • Theatre students perform in MacHugh Theatre, stage a Madrigal Dinner, and create a traveling children’s production.

These experiences plus courses taught by faculty members who are talented artists and communicators themselves will help our students succeed in a variety of careers.
