Beer and discussions about angels

By Chloe Nott

A theology discussion is not what you expect walking into a bar, but the combination proved to be a popular one. Quincy Brewing Company hosted the first Theology on Tap event in Quincy on October 26.

The event was organized by Blessed Sacrament Parish in Quincy with the help of the Blessed Sacrament Men’s Group and Quincy University Campus Ministry.

QU theology professor Dr. Daniel Strudwick was the keynote speaker. Strudwick spoke about the theological significance of angels before opening up for discussions and any questions.

The event was free and open to the public. Participants were able to purchase drinks at the location and bring food with them. Students and those under 21 years of age were also welcome to attend.

The event began at 6:30 pm, with the discussion starting once everyone was seated.
Quincy Brewing Company served their craft brews throughout the night.
The first 50 participants over 21 received a free drink.
