Quincy University honors athletes, coaches in Hall of Fame ceremony
Nine individuals and one team were inducted into Quincy University’s Sports Hall of Fame on Oct. 24, 2026. The ceremony took place in the Hall of Fame Room above Pepsi Arena, celebrating the accomplishments of former Quincy athletes and coaches.
The room was filled with former teammates, family members and supporters who gathered to recognize the careers and contributions of the inductees. The 2013 women’s soccer team was well represented as its members were honored for one of the best seasons in program history.
The team finished the season with an 18-1-4 overall record, winning both the Great Lakes Valley Conference regular-season and tournament championships. The team’s success helped establish its place among the strongest teams in Quincy University women’s soccer history.
Goalkeeper Jodi Chapie, forward Jaclyn Mastroianni and head coach Dave Musso were also recognized individually for their contributions to the program.
Another inductee, Linda Moore, was recognized for her successful career in professional sports and business, her leadership in major sporting events and her continued involvement in the Quincy community. Moore also made history as Quincy’s first female mayor.
Before her professional career, Moore was part of Quincy’s first women’s soccer team. She helped advocate for more opportunities for women to participate in the sport, contributing to the growth of women’s athletics at the university.
“Looking at the young women who are playing today, it’s just such an honor to be a part of this legacy. we didn’t have as much talent as the players do today, but we had a lot of fun and we had a passion for soccer,” Moore said.

Alison Schwagmeyer-Belger was another former athlete honored for her basketball career at Quincy. During her two seasons as a Hawk, she established herself as one of the program’s standout players.
Schwagmeyer-Belger was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year and earned All-American recognition during her junior season. She also received all-region and first-team all-conference honors in both seasons at Quincy.
After her college career, Schwagmeyer-Belger continued playing basketball professionally overseas, earning multiple Most Valuable Player awards. She later returned to Quincy University as the women’s basketball head coach and is preparing for her second season leading the program.
“The Hall of Fame here at Quincy University means a lot to me, I feel like this is my home and this is where my family is so just to be inducted into such a prestigious induction, it just means the world to me more than what words can explain,” Schwagmeyer-Belger said.

The Hall of Fame ceremony recognized more than athletic accomplishments. It celebrated the dedication, leadership and lasting impact the inductees have had on Quincy University.
Their achievements continue to represent the hard work and commitment that have helped shape the university’s athletic programs. For former athletes and coaches, the recognition serves as a reminder that their contributions extend beyond their playing and coaching careers.
