Ceiling Collapse Causes Chaos

A Quincy University maintenance worker fell halfway through the ceiling in the Hawks Hangout, causing tiles from the ceiling to fall.
Eyewitnesses report the incident happening at approximately 10:30. Staff and students were all occupying the area during the time. Paramedics arrived to the scene, bringing in a stretcher, but no one was carried out on the stretcher, says Mike Schreiber, a student who was checking out at the time of the incident.
According to QU Director of Maintenance Troy Peters: “There was no one on the roof. The worker was in the attic, looking at slight repairs and observations.” One eyewitness said that there could potentially be some constructional damage and missing ceiling tiles.
