A New Face for Quincy Football

Quincy University’s football team recently welcomed new quarterback coach Jay Davis who previously was at Truman State University. Davis has nine years of coaching under his belt as well as playing experience from North Carolina State where he finished as the No. 9-rated passer in program history as a four-year letter-winning quarterback. Davis dabbled with a professional career participating in mini camps for the New York Jets and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the midst of all of it he was chosen as an instructor at the Manning Passing Academy in 2005, where the then started his coaching career as an offensive graduate assistant and recruiting assistant at his Alma mater N.C. State. Davis brings in not only coaching experience and opinions but a players as well, he hopes to make good strong connections with returning players as well as incoming ones. With his philosophy’s he hopes to mesh well with the current staff at QU and is looking forward to an exciting start here at Quincy University.
