Quincy University‘s new website is now up and running, allowing past, present and future students to access new information all in one place. Whether students are looking for academics, athletics, admissions or student life, everything can now be found on the university’s redesigned website.

Website managers have been working hard to give students the best experience possible when designing the new and improved website. The goal of the redesign was to make the website easier to use and more helpful for students and families who are interested in attending Quincy University.

Website manager Sandy Trudell shared insight into what the new website offers for students thinking about coming to QU.

“This new site is focused on recruitment for new students, giving them the information they need, providing them with the top questions they are asking. For example: What can I study there? What kind of jobs can I get? What is the cost? And most importantly, what is life like at QU,” Trudell said.

Trudell said the website includes updated layouts, new images and refreshed content. She also explained that the process of improving the site is ongoing.

“This new site has a lot of different images and content in it, it was a total refresh, and we have enjoyed the whole process of it. It is still going to continue to develop. We have got more plans to go the different majors, we want to add more images, and there’s tools coming, so it really is an exciting time for us,” Trudell said.

The website also features new navigation tabs that help users quickly find important information. These tabs lead to pages about academic programs, campus housing, student organizations and upcoming events. The design makes it easier for visitors to explore the university and learn more about what Quincy has to offer.

Current student Maddie Casey has seen the changes firsthand and said the new website is easier to use.

“The new website, I would say it is very easy to access, very organized just based off all the tabs and stuff and easy to locate whatever information you need. There are a lot of different pictures of all of the sports teams and activities going on around campus, so it is enjoyable to look through,” Casey said.

Casey said the photos and updated layout help students feel more connected to campus and show what life at QU is really like.

With a new website also comes new viewers. Not everyone is aware of the type of information available online. Some students are discovering new campus resources for the first time.

First-year student Brynlee Clarke said she learned more about campus life after visiting the site.

“I had never visited the Quincy website before we talked about it. Once I looked at it, I realized that it was super easy to navigate and I actually learned more about the activities on campus that I didn’t even know about,” Clarke said.

University officials hope the new website will continue to reach prospective students while also helping current students stay informed. The updated site is designed to serve as a central hub for campus information and resources.
