QU Football hosts Truman State in Nationally televised Game

by Marc Everhart

This Halloween weekend, the Quincy University Hawks will host Truman State in a Great Lakes Valley Conference showdown. The game will be nationally televised by American Sports Network, and will be the first nationally televised football game in the history of Quincy University. The Hawks are coming off a disappointing 73-28 loss to top ranked Ohio Dominican, their 33rd straight win against un-ranked opponents. This weekend’s game will show off the newly renovated QU Stadium, a four million dollar upgrade that debuted this fall season. This game is also the senior night for the upperclassmen of Quincy University. Many of the seniors have seen the program develop into what it is today. “Ending my QU career here on the big screen is a really cool way to go out. All my family and friends back home are going to be tuned into the game.” said senior linebacker Zach Vath. Instead of the usual 1 pm start time, kickoff this Halloween weekend is at 11 am. Come out and send the seniors out with a bang. And if you are too busy preparing for the holiday, tune in and watch the Hawks soar!
