What’s challenging/interesting/rewarding about my current job?
- The most challenging part about my current job is being able to get favorably introduced to new people every day.
- The most interesting part is that every one of my clients situations are different, which calls for highly personalized financial planning.
- The most rewarding part of my job is the ability to develop lasting relationships with my clients and to help them accomplish some of their goals and objectives financially.
How do I use various communication proficiencies in my work?
Communication is in practically everything I do. Whether it be actively listen to clients and what they’re trying to accomplish most, communicating the most effective solution through persuasion, or to be aware that I’m making appropriate eye contact and the body language I’m using is helping make my point.
What surprised me about my career?
What surprised me about my career is how hard it is in your first few years. I was also surprised at how easily people will share information with me regardless of our relationship.
Here’s my number one piece of advice for Communication undergrads:
My number one piece of advice for Communication undergrads would be for them to become great at asking exceptional questions and be able listen to understand rather than to respond.
