In an attempt to break their losing streak, the Hawks men’s volleyball team returned to Pepsi Arena Feb 20 to face off against the Lewis University Flyers after a loss against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Buckeyes claimed victory at home, leaving the Hawks eager for redemption.

The first set saw the Hawks take charge early, leading 8-4 with notable contributions from Logan Gieseke, Keegan Carey, and Zackary Zdrojeski. Raje Allyene entered the game with determination, scoring three out of four points for the Hawks. Despite forcing a set point at 25-24, 26-25, and 27-26, the Hawks fell short, losing the first set 29-27.

The second set witnessed Lewis gaining a 8-3 lead, and the Hawks found themselves in a challenging position as Lewis secured a 25-22 victory. 

Set three mirrored the previous one, as the Flyers dominated with a 9-4 lead, dashing the Hawks’ hopes of breaking their four-game losing streak. The set concluded with a 25-21 defeat for the Hawks.
