After being canceled due to weather issues last semester career services is proud to announce that Speed Networking is back. Kristen Liesen Director of Career Services say’s, “In the past, speed networking has prepared students for a “first impression” and the “tell me a little bit about yourself questions”.

On Thursday, Feb. 18, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Hall of Fame Room local and regional companies will be attending this event to secure spots for  Spring, Summer and Fall internships. This gives students the chance to network with each employer in addition to exchanging a resume and collecting a business card.

“Its purpose is to prepare students for these experiences but has often led to several internship and professional placements,” said Liesen.

Interested students should sign up by contacting Kristen Liesen at liesekr@quincy.edu or at the front desk of the SSC. Students are asked to dress business casual, bring at least 25 copies of their resume and create a quick introduction to share as they meet each individual employer. (Ex. Hi, my name is QU Student.  I am from St. Louis, a huge Blues fan and want to pursue a career in banking.  I am a junior at QU majoring in Finance.  I am actively involved in the CEO organization which has increased my interest in Finance……).
