The KC Range has officially unveiled its newly remodeled state-of-the-art golf experience, featuring 30 new golf bays designed with garage doors for cooling and heaters to ensure year-round playability. The revamped facility, located next to the Knights of Columbus at 830 36th Street, opened to the public on August 23, and has quickly become a hotspot for locals looking to hone their golf game or simply unwind.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a spacious 4,000-square-foot bar, complete with enough TVs to catch the latest games, along with a creative food menu that caters to diverse tastes. Outside, there’s a patio overlooking the Knights of Columbus par-3 course, which is expected to open soon and already looks ready for play. While these amenities are sure to draw crowds, the true heart of the KC Range is golf.

Each golf bay offers a comfortable space with couches and tables, along with an automatic shot dispenser that makes each practice session effortless. The bays can accommodate up to six players, and similar to the “Topgolf” pricing structure, it actually gets more affordable with more friends—a big draw for groups looking to make it a social outing.

“I’ve been here the last four years, and the KC Range has always been great,” Josh Hempelman said. “But this upgrade is awesome. I’m really looking forward to playing here in the winter. It’s honestly really cheap and affordable, even for college students. I just come out here and rip ’em.”

The range at Quincy offers an experience comparable to larger, well-known golf entertainment venues like Topgolf, with targets spread across the range for players to aim at, as well as the popular Toptracer technology that tracks each ball’s flight path and distance. Whether you’re competing with friends or simply practicing your swing, it’s easy to see why the range has become a popular escape for those seeking a little friendly competition and relaxation.

“The Toptracer setup lets you watch the flight of your ball and track how far it went, which adds an extra layer of excitement to the game,” Ben Draeger said.

KC Range also offers memberships that include discounted guest passes, adding to the value for frequent visitors. Logan Monroe, a member of the KC Range staff, emphasized the welcoming environment for players and staff alike.

“Working here at KC Range has been great. They have a flexible schedule with my baseball commitments, and we also have great pizza, wings, and drink deals. It’s a fun place to be,” Monroe said.

With colder weather on the way, the staff is excited to provide Quincy residents with a premier golfing experience that’s enjoyable year-round, regardless of the season. Whether you’re looking to improve your game, enjoy some tasty food, or just spend time with friends, the KC Range is ready.
