Quincy Women’s Volleyball team flies high at home against the Truman State Bulldogs
In front of a raucous Pepsi Arena crowd, the Hawks dominated on their home floor, sweeping Truman State in three sets to wrap up the final home weekend of regular season play.
From the opening whistle, Quincy brought the intensity. Building momentum from previous matches-including a strong showing on the road at Illinois Springfield-they carried that into this match.
In set one the Lady Hawks took early charge, pouncing on key serves and limiting Truman’s offensive rhythm. Quick runs and strong setting created separation, and Quincy closed confidently.
Then in set two Truman tried to answer, but Quincy did not yield. Service aces, sharp blocks and sure-handed passing had the home team at an advantage.

Set three had a different story as Truman rallied together and won the set to keep Quincy on their toes. But when the fourth set came around Quincy efficiently sealed the victory as Truman’s resistance faded, while the Hawks continued to execute cleanly, eventually finishing the match in straight sets.
“We came into this match really focused on our energy and communication,” Lily Marth, junior libero, said. “Truman State pushed us hard, but we trusted in our training and each other. Every point was earned, and I’m so proud of how we stayed composed and finished strong as a team.”
